"No one knows the 'good' ways of life which will effectively exploit the best in men... Experimentation is the only way to find out."

B. F. Skinner, 1983, p.84

Behaviorethics is a term coined by Los Horcones to refer to the application of the science of behavior -behavior analysis- to the study of values (moral behavior or contingencies).See Glossary

Behaviorethics is a behavioral analytic approach to values.

Los Horcones community can be considered as an experiment in ethics. We experimentally study the values of cooperation, equality, pacifism, altruism, sharing, mutual respect and others. In general, this means to observe -analyze- the effects in our behavior and the environment for behaving according to these values. For example, what are the advantages of a particular cooperative behavior compared to competing.

Inside the ethics' field Behaviorethics can be named as Experimental Ethics or Behavioral Ethics.

Science can help us not just by telling us what things are or how to make them, but also what needs to be done, what we ought to be.
